A Bit About Greg
I’m a beer geek living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada who works full-time as a senior technical team lead in the health care sector.
In addition to writing this blog, I co-publish with my wife, Sheryl Kirby, the websites Taste T.O. and Beer & Butter Tarts. The former focuses on the food & drink scene in Toronto, while the latter does the same for all of Canada.
I’m also the creator and editor of the Canadian Beer News blog/website; news editor at Toronto beer website The Bar Towel; a columnist for TAPS Magazine; and a former contributor to the Toronto food & drink webzine Gremolata.
Before diving into beer and food writing, I was heavily involved in Toronto’s electronic and experimental music scene for over a decade, working as a writer/reviewer, radio DJ, concert promoter, and head of a tiny record label (the latter two done together with Sheryl).
